Post 6: Five People Who Mean A Lot to Me (in no particular order).

Of course my connection to my biological family is very strong, as most of you know.  I do sympathize with people who don’t have that tight connection with their kin like I have with mine.  I was born into a huge very old Maine family and the family dynamics dictate that we always remember that blood binds us all together.  I was taught that we all either lead, follow, and care for one another in so many ways every day. I am blessed to have that connection as my family is truly one of the best.

There are actually far more than 5 important people to me…but I’ll give these 5 below a shout out for this list

My mother has been a huge impact in my life.  Without her influence and guidance I would most likely be very different place in life right now.

Nancy...wow, the things we have seen together over the years.  I miss the old days sometimes, and I especially miss our laughter and the crazy stuff we would come up with for entertainment….i.e. soccer slut Barbie and cheese dogs, lmfao

Steve…you always remind me of my more wild days…I guess that is what you’ll always remember most – fast cars and race tracks, near accidents and my sailors mouth.  You were always my co-pilot as a kid, and I couldn’t have chosen a better one!

Patricia….I can’t even begin to say where our relationship as sisters stops and the relationship as good friends begins.  We’ve seen a lot together, and you’ve been awesome to support me in anything I ever chose to do in my life.  I thank you for my niece and for allowing me to have a big role in her upbringing, I will always love you for that especially.

Kyle.  What can I say?  The day they laid your little body in my arms I cried.  You changed my entire life in that every instant.  Ever since then I have realized that all of our lives are so interconnected and that I need to be righteous to show you that you have that in you as well.  You grew up to be the most incredible young woman, and I am proud as hell of you.

I am a pretty relaxed, proud, Butch and a native Mainer who enjoys reading, writing, blogging, vlogging and social interaction. I live in southern Maine, near the coast with my 2 small dogs and I hail from a very large, loving family that is historically rooted here. I write about my life, my experiences, living successfully with HIV, my YouTube experiences, and just about anything that piques my interest. This blog may contain profanity and sexual situations, and is not intended for younger audiences. Read at your own risk. At 54 I see life as just beginning a new chapter, and have decide this is the time that I need to write the stories that got me to this point. I believe we live our lives in chapters, changing, evolving and moving continuously with the times. I love to laugh, have discussions, debates and even the occasional nonsense conversation! I generally enjoy people, but not drama, hatred, ignorance or those who choose to feel they are somehow elite or superior to another simply due to their mere existence. I try to be very conscious of the health of the world around me - environmentally, socially, economically, and ethically. The people who are dear to me know me as having a tough exterior, filled with marshmallow and crunchy peanut butter. I continually strive to be the best I can be, especially to address life head on...always.
